Hauser dominated in volleyball Thursday as they administered a three-game loss to the Lady Pirates, 26-24, 25-19 and 25-17.

In the loss the Pirates still got some heavy hitting as Erica Schwering hit 23 of 25 with nine kills, Chas Lecher went 23 0f 27 with seven kills, Casey Nelson hit 23 of 28 with six kills, Kiley Wood hit 11-13 with three kills and Dyelon Fasnacht hit nine of 10 with a kill. Assisting the hitters was setter Rachel Schmeltz who registered 20 assists.

On the service line Wood recorded 12-of-12 serves with two aces, Lecher served 13 of 15 and Schmeltz served eight of eight.

The junior varsity also had a rough route of it against Hauser as they lost 25-19 and 25-11. The Pirate reserves were led by Laura Welage and Emily Springmeyer. Welage served eight of nine with two aces and hit nine of 10 with four kills and Springmeyer served seven of eight with two aces and hit six of nine. Katie Burns and Vanessa Lawrence also had aces and Kristen Koors an and Sara Kramer had kills.
