Greensburg’s freshman football team improved their record to 5-1 last Thursday with an 8-0 victory over Franklin County. The victory marked the third shutout in a row by the defensive unit.

The lone touchdown was scored by Jordan Cunnington on a pass from Blake Abplanalp.

Offensively, the Pirates were led by Zach Balusik with 86 yards rushing and Matt Lee added 41 yards.

The defense continued to win the battle of turnovers with fumble recoveries by Balusik, Lee and Austin Moster and interceptions by Tucker Hime and Cunnington).

Lee was also the leading tackler was Matt Lee with six tackles. Balusik and Moster each added five stops.

The freshman travel to Batesville on Thursday.
