South Decatur played host to Trinity Lutheran Tuesday and suffered

a four-game loss, 24-26, 26-24, 25-23 and 25-15.

“We played better than the score in the last game,” said Coach

Robyn Owens. “We ended up strong. I told them, ‘Just play.’ They

didn’t quit.”

Trinity had a good hitting attack that kept the Lady Cougars off

balance after the first game and led to a number of points.

Statistically for the Lady Cougars; Amber Knapp served 10-of-10,

passed 20-22 and set 32-of-32; Nicole Dougherty served 4-of-4 and

hit 16-of-18 with four kills; Ashleigh Ewing was 12-of-14 with two

with eight kills; Emily Nobbe was 8-of-9 serving with two aces and

hit 12-of-12 with four kills; Stephanie Kohlman received 40-of-49
