Decatur County Soccer registration

Spring Registration is open! Please go register for Spring Soccer Season TODAY at Registration will end Monday, March 3. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Suzanne Campfield at (812) 614-1494.

There will be six regular season games played on Saturdays. Most games will be played between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Saturday mornings.

All games will be played at the home fields next to the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office. Practices will begin the week of March 24. Games will be on March 29, April 5, 12, 19, 26, and May 10.


Greensburg selling sectional tickets

Greensburg High School started selling boys basketball sectional tickets Wednesday. The sales continue from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. through Monday, March 3.

Only season tickets can be purchased for $10. Session tickets for each night can only be purchased at the door on the night of the game for $6.


Greensburg Youth Baseball signups

Greensburg Youth Baseball signups began Wednesday and will continue from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Decatur County Parks and Recreation. Signups will take place on Saturdays beginning today, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Parks and Rec.

The last day for registration is Wednesday, March 26.

The cost is $50 for the first child, $40 for the second child, $30 for the third, and $20 for any additional child.

Unbeaten Pirate 8th girls top Batesville

The Greensburg girls eighth grade basketball team continued its undefeated season Thursday night, defeating host Batesville 45-10.

Kyra Whitaker led the Lady Pirates with 14 points, five assists and five steals. Bailey Meyer followed with 11 points, two rebounds, an assist and seven steals.

Open swim offered on Sundays

The Decatur County Parks and Recreation Department is offering open swimming at the Greensburg Community High School.

The pool will be open, free of charge, on Sundays from 2 to 5 p.m., which began Sunday, Feb. 9 and will continue through Sunday, March 16.

Non-swimmers under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
