The South Decatur football team concluded the regular season against first-place Indian Creek, falling 60-6 Friday night on the road.
Indian Creek, which carried a 30-0 lead into halftime, improved to 7-2 overall and 4-0 in the Mid-Indiana Football Conference.
South enters the sectional tournament with a 3-6 record after finishing the MIFC with an 0-4 mark.
Junior quarterback Chris Johannigman threw 24-for-45 for 257 yards, a touchdown and an interception for South.
Chris Meadows led South in receiving with four catches for 69 yards. Josh Miller caught seven for 61, and senior Byron Balser caught six for 60 yards. Damen Martin (32 yards) and senior Bryce French (30 yards) each caught three passes.
Damen Martin led South in rushing with two carries for 14 yards. Chris Meadows tallied two carries for eight yards.
The Cougars yielded 357 passing yards on 20 of 29 completions to Matthew Wray, who threw four touchdown passes. Gynson Robley completed 3 of 5 passes for 55 yards and added a touchdown pass. The Braves rushed 26 times for 290 yards (11.1 per carry).
