The Greensburg boys basketball team improved to 5-0 on the season and 4-0 in the Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference with a 54-36 win over host East Central.
The Pirates led after each quarter stop on their way to another conference win. Greensburg led 16-11 after the first quarter and 24-19 at the half, but pulled away in the third and fourth quarters by getting to the foul line. The host Trojans opened the second half with a quick score, making it a 3-point game at 24-21.
Junior Sean Sellers led Greensburg with 15 points. Sophomore Ryan Welage followed with 12, while juniors Bryant McIntosh and Collin Rigney each added 11. Tyler Burcham chipped in five, and provided a defensive lift off the bench.
The Pirates shot 15-for-18 from the foul line. Sellers shot 6-for-6, Welage shot 4-for-4 and Burcham shot 5-for-8.

Greensburg’s junior varsity team suffered its first defeat of the season Friday, falling to 4-1 on the season.
Drew Foster led the Pirates with 17 points. Josiah Buell followed with seven points, while Tom Lawrence scored six points. Brad Wilson scored three points, and scoring two apiece were Kevin Beaver and Bryce Bennett. Riley Burkert rounded out the scoring with one point.
