A quartet of Greensburg seniors made their collegiate futures official last week as they signed their National Letters of Intent.
Seniors Bryant McIntosh, Collin Rigney and Sean Sellers each signed Wednesday afternoon in the high school cafeteria, while senior Macy Holdsworth signed in the high school library Friday.
Accompanied with the signees were school administration, coaches, immediate family, and members of the boys high school basketball team in support of their teammates.
McIntosh will play basketball at Northwestern University. The third-year point guard for the Pirates is the school’s career leader in assists.
Sellers will play basketball at Ball State University, a Division I NCAA college. The third-year forward is Greensburg basketball’s career leader in scoring and rebounding, and is among the leaders in free throw shooting.
Rigney will play tennis at Ball State. He is a first team All-State selection in tennis, four-time conference Most Valuable Player and two-time regional champion, compiled a 25-1 season record overall. He finished his high school career with an 89-6 record.
Holdsworth signed his letter of intent to play baseball at Indiana University.
The Pirate quartet led Greensburg to the Class 3A basketball State championship in March - the school’s first ever state title in team sports.
