---- — The North Decatur volleyball team gave it the best fight it could against the top-ranked team in the state, but Providence came away with the three-set win Tuesday night at North.

The Lady Pioneers beat the Lady Chargers 25-8, 25-11 and 25-11.

North concludes its season with a 20-8 record.

“We have had a great season,” said North head coach Cathy Fogle. “And the season we had would not have been possible without this great group of ladies, everyone was a part of the team and worked for our goals that were set before each game, with our biggest goal - bringing home a sectional win. I couldn’t be any prouder of these ladies in what they have accomplished this season.”

Fogle commended the student section that was well-occupied and energetic throughout the match.

“We would like to thank our students for their support on Tuesday,” she said. “Providence is an exceptional team and we wish them the best in the rest of the tourney.”
