Pirate kickers earn season awards

---- — The Greensburg boys soccer team distributed season awards Monday in the high school cafeteria.

Recipients of varsity letters were Tye Fleetwood, Jeremy Meadows, Joe Buening, Drew Reiger, Todd Overmyer, Evan Bailey, Spencer Kuehl, Brady Niles, Aaron Sia, Francis Teague, Jake Buening, Kyle Bumbala, Alex Martinez, Kirk Scott and Logan Yeager.

The Most Valuable Player is Jeremy Meadows, who also was named All-EIAC.

Brady Niles is the Most Improved Player.

Senior Joe Buening is the Most Dedicated Player, while Kyle Bumbala is the Rookie of the Year.

Coached by first-year Greensburg head coach Nicolas Dye-Pellisson, the Pirates went 4-12-1 with wins over Waldron, Southwestern, Milan and Hauser. The Pirates recorded two shutout wins.

Senior Tye Fleetwood led the team in goals with 13, and assists with four for 30 points. Meadows scored five goals and added two assists for 12 points.
