Pirate tennis grounds Jets on Senior Night

---- — The Greensburg varsity boys tennis squad hosted Hauser Thursday on Senior Night and came away with a 5-0 victory over the Jets.

The Pirate netters honored Riley Burkert, Kyle Colson, Nick Hughes, Tom Lawrence and Collin Rigney.

Collin Rigney defeated Kyle Benedict 6-0, 6-0 at first singles.

Riley Burkert netted the same result over Will Rose at second singles, as did the first doubles pair of Tom Lawrence and Kyle Colson over Zane Urbans and Joel Benedict.

Dropping only one game at third singles was sophomore David Lawrence as he won over Avery Talent.

At second doubles, junior Kevin Beaver and sophomore Keegan McCullough won 6-2, 6-0 over Luke Meier and Adam Carr.

Winning in junior varsity action for Greensburg was Greg Schroeder, 6-0, and Nathan Emsweller, 7-6.

The Pirates improve to 8-4 on the season.
