Greensburg — The South Decatur boys basketball team fell to visiting Eastern Hancock 57-47 Friday, despite leading in the first half.
Eastern Hancock (8-2) built a double-digit lead that South reduced late in the fourth quarter to single digits. However, the Cougars could not pull out the win.
Senior Taylor Kopplin led South with 16 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Senior Andrew Wullenweber added 12 points, while senior Kaleb Cunningham scored eight. Senior Devin Taylor scored five, senior Chris Johannigman added three and junior Sam Studler chipped in two.
South falls to 3-7 overall and 0-2 in the Mid-Hoosier Conference.
