The South Decatur boys basketball team visited conference rival Waldron Thursday night, falling to the Mohawks 70-48.
The score was tied at 11-all late in the first quarter, but Waldron went on an 11-0 run and led 22-11 at the first stop.
Senior Devin Taylor led South (3-12) with 12 points. Senior Andrew Wullenweber, pictured, scored eight, along with junior Nick Schwering. Seniors Taylor Kopplin and Kaleb Cunningham each scored seven, while senior Chris Johannigman added six.
South falls to 0-6 in the Mid-Hoosier Conference, while Waldron is now 3-4 in the conference and 7-9 overall.
South visits Greensburg, the top-ranked team in Class 3A, Saturday. The JV tips off at noon and the varsity follows.
