Greensburg — Posted below is the Decatur County junior high girls basketball Round-up.

GREENSBURG

Pirate 8A girls remain undefeated

The Greensburg girls 8A basketball team continued their undefeated season Thursday night, beating Shelbyville 47-13.

Stats: Keirsten Lynette- 4 points, 3 rebounds, 1 block; Gracie Maxwell- 1 assist; Kyra Whitaker- 17points, 1 rebound, 3 assists, 3 steals; Sierra Johnson- 7 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 block; Bailey Meyer- 10 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal; Ashlynn Meyer- 2 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 9 steals, 1 block; Kirstin Hersley- 2 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 block; Cameron Jones- 5 points, 2 steals.

The B team came away with a win also 29-20.

Stats:  Ashley Bower - 12 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals; Gracie Maxwell - 2 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal, 3 blocks; Jennifer McGuire - 1 rebound; Montana Whitaker - 3 points, 12 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block; Adrienne Horan - 6 points, 5 rebounds; Taylor Klene - 6 points, 5 rebounds; Madison Fields - 2 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal.

The girls 8A team traveled to Connersville last Tuesday night and came out victorious 54-25.

Stats: Keirsten Lynette - 6 pts, 4 rebounds, 2 steals; Kyra Whitaker - 17 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals, 1 block; Sierra Johnson - 7 points, 6 rebounds, 1 block; Bailey Meyer - 12 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, 1 block; Ashlynn Meyer - 7 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 7 steals; Ashley Bower - 1 rebound, 2 steals; Cameron Jones - 5 points, 1 assist, 2 steals.

The 8B team hosted Waldron Tuesday night and came out victorious 32-18.

Stats: Adrienne Horan - 4 points, 3 rebounds; Montana Whitaker - 10 rebounds, 5 steals, 4 points; Kirstin Hersley - 2 rebounds, 13 points; Gracie Maxwell - 17 rebounds, 7 points; Madison Fields - 5 rebounds; Erica Evans - 7 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 point; Logan Hamer - 2 rebounds, 1 steal, 3 points.

Pirate 7A girls win in overtime

The 7A Lady Pirates beat Connersville last Tuesday night in overtime, 39-29.

The Greensburg girls came back in the fourth quarter and Morgan Peetz tied the game with two seconds left. The Pirates dominated in overtime.

The lead scorer was Morgan Peetz with 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocked shots. Maddy Wickens added 6 points, 5 steals and 5 rebounds. Abbey Gommel had 3 points and 13 rebounds. Sydney Hogg, Anika Scripture, and Kirsten Adams each added 2 points.

The 7A Lady Pirates lost to Shelbyville on Thursday night, 24-29. Morgan Peetz ended with 11 points and 5 rebounds. Abbey Gommel ended with 8 points and 5 rebounds. Sydney Hogg had 3 points. Haylee Ott had 2 points.
