Decatur County sports digest announcements for April 18

Greensburg — Posted below are the Decatur County sports digest announcements for April 18.

ND baseball at Indian Creek, 4:30

ND softball at Oldenburg, 4:30

SD baseball at Milan, 4:30

SD boys golf vs Brown County, 4:30

Friday, April 19

ND softball vs S-western (Shelby), 4:30

ND track at Edinburgh, 5 p.m.

SD softball vs Milan, 5 p.m.

SD track at Edinburgh Lancer Relays, 5 p.m.

SD boys golf at Morristown, 5 p.m.



South JH track teams 2-0

The South Decatur junior high track and field teams swept Columbus Central Tuesday.  The girls won 60-40 and the boys won 63-37.

Nick Benge tied the 100-meter record with a run of 12.10 seconds.

Both South junior high track teams are now 2-0.

North baseball called off

The North Decatur baseball game against Oldenburg Academy Wednesday was called off. No makeup date has been announced.

South girls basketball camp set

The South Decatur girls basektball program will conduct a basketball camp for girls from grades kindergarten through sixth grade. The camp will take place from April 29 to April 30, and May 1 and 2 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. after grades 4-6 Volleyball Camp.

Campers are encouraged to bring a snack and a lot of water, and will have some rest time between camps. Campers will learn fundamentals such as dribbling, passing shooting, jumping, offensive concepts, defensive concepts and more.

The camp fee is $35.

At the end of camp, there will also be information about a fall and winter travel ball league. Make sure you get this information.

Campers will receive a T-shirt at the end of camp.
