North junior high boys track wins

Greensburg — The North Decatur junior high track and field teams competed against St. Louis and Jac-Cen-Del.

The Charger boys beat St. Louis 63-52. JCD scored 32 points for third place. North tallied five first-place finishes.

The 4x100-meter relay team of Sidney Ricke, Jacob Hornberger, Jacob Snider and Owen Kinker, won in a time of one minute flat.

Evan Smith won the high jump with a measurement of four feet, 10 inches. Smith won the 200-meter dash in 29.53 seconds.

Hornberger won the shot put. Kyle Kramer won the discus with a mark of 86-09.

Second-place finishes:  Taylor Zavala (discus), 76-0; Evan Smith (100 dash), 13:50; Jacob Hartman (400), 1:09; Jacob Snider (200), 30.50; 4x400 relay (Matthew Borgman, Ricke, Hartman, Hornberger).

Third-place finishes:  Owen Kinker (100 dash), 14.00; Logan Kramer (110-hurdles), 22.00; Kramer (800), 3:00; Evan Smith (400), 1;09.

Fourth-place finishes:  Kramer (shot put); Noah Mack (800), 3:11;

Other marks:  Jacob Hartman (long jump), 11-09; Matthew Borgman (long jump), 10-05.
