South Decatur volleyball camp set

South Decatur High School will be hosting a Varsity, JV, and freshman team camp for any girls going into grades 9-12 who are interested in playing volleyball in the upcoming season.

Camp will be conducted from July 21 through July 24 at South Decatur High School from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m., and on July 25 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. All participants must have a physical on file with the school or coach prior to participation in the camp.

YMCA offering summer leagues

For anyone who is looking to join a YMCA Adult Basketball League team or would be interested in playing, please see below or contact, Mark Lantz by calling (812) 663-9622.

As preparation gets under way for the summer session’s leagues and classes, the YMCA encourages any male or female, member or non-member to stop by and get more information on how to sign up for the Adult Basketball League or other Adult/Youth sports. YMCA currently has registration going on for Sports Camps, Summer Youth Basketball League, Lego Camps, and Summer Day Camp. Any companies looking to sponsor teams are also encouraged to contact the YMCA for more information regarding the leagues.

In addition, The Decatur County Family Y.M.C.A. also hosts Wednesday night open gym basketball from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. This is a great way to keep your basketball game sharp as well as finding a team for Sunday’s Adult Basketball League.
