“We dug ourselves too deep a hole in the first for the second game in a row,” said coach Mike Blauvelt, “but played hard to get back into the game.”

He also had a season high five boards. Cody Bischoff had two points and two steals. Tucker Bailey dished out seven assists in a great effort looking for teammates, according to coach Bob Barker.

“Nick Heil and Brayton Owens are improving game by game with four rebounds each,” said Barker.

Heil finished out the scoring with two points. Gus Gregory, Gabe Caplinger and Ty Hall had limited play and Eric Fisse joined the 7A team but did not play.

Greensburg was down seven points after the first and 18 at half. Despite struggling in the second quarter, the Pirates stayed with it and were only outscored by three in the second half.

“This was a very good Jennings County team and I am proud of how hard our kids played,” said Ruble.
