Pirate track teams compete in tri meet at S. Dearborn

Third: Allen 1600 run 6:46.1; Myers, 3200 run 14:39.3; Zeigler, 100 hurdles 19.0.

Fourth: Martin, 800 run 3:02.1.

Fifth: Hampton, 100 dash 15.0; Layman, 400 dash 1:13; Myers, long jump 9-03.

The Greensburg boys took third in the tri meet. Jennings County dominated South Dearborn 107-35, while the Pirates scored 22 points.

The Pirate boys did not place any winners, but tallied several second- and third-place finishes.

A pair of Pirate relay teams placed second. The 4x100 of freshman Jadrian Woods, sophomore Tommy Carrey, junior Devin Mick and junior Dillan Able, clocked a 48.8. The 4x800 team of freshman Greg Schroeder, sophomore Logan Yeager, freshman Dylan Barber and freshman Louis Moore, clocked a second-place 9:33.7.

Junior Cody McConnell placed second in the 110-meter hurdles in 16.7.

Junior Kyle Redelman was third in the shot put with a mark of 45-10.

Sophomore Devin Ruble was third in the 100 dash in 12.0, while Barber was third in the 400 dash in 57.8.

The boys 4x400 relay of Able, Barber, Schroeder and McConnell, was third in 3:57.5.

Other finishes –

Fourth: Woods, 200 dash 24.9; Schroeder, 800 run 2:17.7; Schroeder, 1600 run, 5:11.3; Able, 110 hurdles 17.8; McConnell, 300 hurdles 47.0; Ruble, long jump 16-08; Ruble, high jump 5-02.

Two relay B-teams clocked fifth-place marks. The quartet of junior Devin Mick, freshman Jadrian Woods, junior Jonathan Richards and Schroeder and sophomore Logan Yeager, clocked a 4:23.4. The 4x800 relay of freshman Draven Hall, Richards, sophomore Ben Newhart and junior Clayton Moore, was fifth in 11:46.7.

Kevin Beaver: 8th, discus 90-08; 10th, shot put 31-11.

Clayton Moore: 14th, 1600 run 8:40.7; 15th, 800 run 3:51.6.

Kyle Redelman: 5th, discus throw 103-05.

Jonathan Richards: 12th, 800 run 2:38.6.

Dillan Able: 6th, 300 hurdles, 47.7.

Devin Mick: 5th, 110 hurdles 19.9; 7th, 300 hurdles 49.4.

Tommy Carrey: 7th, long jump 15-06.50; 9th, 100 dash 12.7; 10th, 200 dash 26.2.

Logan Yeager: 7th, 800 run 2:26.6; 10th, 1600 run 5:43.8.

Ben Newhart: 13th, 800 run 2:42.1; 13th, 1600 run 5:57.7.

Matt Navarra: 5th, high jump 4-10; 9th, long jump 14-10.

Scott Dorsett: 11th, 100 dash 12.8; 11th, long jump 13-09; 11th, 200 dash 26.3.

Dylan Barber: 5th, high jump 4-10;

Louis Moore: 6th, 3200 run 13:05.2; 8th, high jump 4-08.

Draven Hall: 7th, 3200 run 13:44.6.
