Perdue leads North over Morristown

North Decatur junior Luke Perdue pitched a complete game for his first career victory. The Chargers defeated Morristown 6-4, earning them a conference victory.

Lady Pirates tally big EIAC win

The Greensburg varsity softball team posted a big conference win Thursday, beating East Central 6-2. The Lady Pirates improve to 13-3 overall, and more importantly, 7-1 in the Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference.

Pirate Wrestling Golf Scramble set

Join the Greensburg Pirate Wrestling team in the 4th Annual Pirate Wrestling Golf Scramble. This tournament is open to the public and will take place at the Greensburg Country Club at 1 p.m. on Saturday May 31.

A shotgun start will take place at 1 p.m.

The cost is $45 and there will be a 4-man scramble.

Competitions will include “Closest to the Pin” and “Longest Drive” contests. Each golfer will receive a $5 gift certificate for the pro shop. Hole sponsorships and donations are welcome. We are still accepting sponsors.

Proceeds from this camp offset costs of the wrestling summer team camp. The Pirate wrestlers are attending the Iron Sharpens Iron camp in Normal, IL this July. Please RSVP sponsorships and/or teams with Matt Cochran at (812) 560-3945 or mcochran@greensburg.k12.in.us by May 31. Individuals without a team are also welcome to play.
