Pirate seventh girls win
The Greensburg seventh grade girls basketball team traveled to Brookville Tuesday and returned with a 37-13 win.
Scoring for the Lady Pirates were Sydney Meyer with 11 points and 6 steals, Gabby Burton with 10 points and 9 rebounds, Claire Fleetwood with 7 points, Samantha Cain with 6 points and 5 assists, Michaela Myers with 2 points and Calla Black finished off the scoring with 1 point.
Pirate eighth girls beat Brookville
The eighth grade Lady Pirates beat Brookville Middle School 32- 23. The Pirates started off strong in first quarter with a 13-2 advantage after one quarter.
"All the girls played well defensively in the whole game and a great team win and effort," said coach Evans.
The Pirates were led in scoring by Brittney Biltz with 10 points, Maddi Hellmich 6 points, Kasey Moeller, Taylor McIntosh, Keauna Schultz all with 4 points each and Renae Kramer and Allie Geis with 2 points apiece.
The Pirates are 9-2 on the season and play at Batesville Thursday, then host South Dearborn next Tuesday for their last home game.
Greensburg selling sectional tickets
Greensburg High School began selling season tickets for the boys basketball Sectional Wednesday, Feb. 22. Sales will continue Thursday, Feb. 23, Friday, Feb. 24 and on Monday, Feb. 27 from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the Athletic Office. Season tickets are $10 and are good for all games. Session tickets are $6 for each night and can only be purchased at the door.
