Decatur County sports digest announcements for June 1

Greensburg — Posted below are the Decatur County sports digest announcements for June 1.

Greensburg football camp starts Monday

The Greensburg Pirate Football Camp is set for next week for grades one through five. Camp will last from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Monday through Friday.

The camp is available for any first through fifth grade student for the 2011 and 2012 school year. The football camp will be dedicated to providing instruction that is essential for the game of football, focusing on fundamentals such as tackling, blocking, offense, defense and kicking.

The camp will take place at Greensburg High School’s Football Complex and locker room.

Campers need to bring football cleats or tennis shoes and a T-shirt.

The fee for the camp is $30, and checks are to be made payable to Greensburg football coach Scott Moore. Registration needs to be sent to Scott Moore at 530 E. Central Ave, Greensburg, IN 47240.

Anyone with questions can call Coach Moore at the high school at (812) 663-7176.

Pirate wrestling sets youth camp

The Greensburg Pirate Wrestling Team will be hosting a youth camp June 17-20 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the GCHS Fieldhouse. The cost is $20.

Campers may register by emailing Coach Matt Cochran at mcochran@greensburg.k12.in.us, or by calling Coach Cochran at 560-3945.

DCYSC fall registration open

The Decatur County Youth Soccer Club is opening fall season registration via the Decatur County Youth Soccer Club website www.dcysc.org.

Register for the DCYSC Fall Soccer Season now as registration ends June 30.
