Boys soccer falls to Shelbyville at home

---- — The Greensburg boys soccer team fell 5-1 to visiting Shelbyville Monday night in the season opener.

The match also marked the Greensburg coaching debut of Nicolas Dye-Pellison.

“We learned a lot today on the work ahead of us,” he said after the game.

Sophomore Drew Reiger scored on a penalty kick for the Pirates.

Senior Joe Buening started in goal, and junior Todd Overmyer played goalkeeper the remainder of the game.

Greensburg next hosts South Dearborn Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
