Pirate junior high golfers sweep Rushville

Greensburg — The Greensburg boys and girls junior high golf teams hosted Rushville last Friday. In the boys match, Greensburg defeated Rushville 184-193. The top score for the Pirates was Trevor Stapp with a 44. Other top scores include Kole McGinn with a 45, Brentt Bowling with a 46, and Nathan Emsweller and Anthony Treash each with 49’s. Other scores include Josh Ankney with a 50, Colton Williams with a 53, Gavin Keppel with a 54, Kyler Sellers with a 55 and Miles Messer with a 64.

In the girls’ match, Greensburg also defeated Rushville in a 6-hole match score of 154-160. The top score for the Pirates was Maddy Wickens with a 35. Other top scores include Meghan Stapp and Kennedy Hanna each with 39’s, and Kama Weston and Ayla Ziegenfus each with 41’s. Other scores include Hannah Smith with a 45 and Samantha Nobbe with a 46.

In earlier action this season, Rachel Nobbe led Greensburg with a 60 against Connersville. Shooting a 65 apiece were Ayla Ziegenfus, Kama Weston, Anika Scripture and Meghan Stapp. Samantha Nobbe shot a 66, Hannah Smith 67. and Kennedy Hanna and Maddie Wickens 71 each.
