Decatur County sports digest announcements for June 15

Greensburg — Posted below are the Decatur County sports digest announcements for June 15.

Pirate wrestling youth camp starts Monday

The Greensburg Pirate Wrestling Team will be hosting a youth camp next week, starting Monday and lasting until Thursday. It will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the GCHS Fieldhouse. The cost is $20.

Campers may register by emailing Coach Matt Cochran at mcochran@greensburg.k12.in.us, or by calling Coach Cochran at 560-3945.

5K Run/Walk now June 22

The Abby Brinkman/GOTR 5K Run/Walk that was set for June 1 has been rescheduled to Saturday, June 22 at 8 a.m. at Mill Race Park.

Packet Pick up and Race Day registration will start at 7:15 a.m. before the race. The cost is $25.

Tiger Sharks in summer action

The Decatur County Tiger Sharks, in affiliation with the Decatur County Parks and Recreation, are in the middle of summer competition.

If anyone would like more information regarding the Tiger Sharks program or Greensburg swimming in general, please contact coach Josh at dcts@ymail.com.

DCYSC fall registration open

The Decatur County Youth Soccer Club is opening fall season registration via the Decatur County Youth Soccer Club website www.dcysc.org.

Register for the DCYSC Fall Soccer Season now as registration ends June 30.

Redlegs Baseball tryouts approaching

The Redlegs Baseball Club will be conducting tryouts for the 2014 season on two upcoming dates: Thursday, Aug. 8 at the Geneva Rec Center in Scipio from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, Aug. 10 at Kohler Park in Greensburg from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
