North harriers win home meet

Greensburg — The North Decatur boys and girls cross country teams hosted Morristown Monday night, sweeping the Yellow Jackets. The Lady Chargers improved to 5-3 with a 15-0 win as Morristown was incomplete. The North boys improved to 7-2 with a 22-33 win.

North freshman Megan Hoover was the race winner with a time of 22:09.

“Great night to run on our own course,” said North head coach Scott Johnson. “Cooler temperatures led to improved times. Congratulations to Eric and Megan for winning their respective races. I’m very pleased with where our kids’ times are right now and am looking forward to the rest of the season. It’s hard to believe that county, conference, and sectionals are only a few weeks away.”
