Greensburg — The Greensburg boys basketball team recorded two straight conference victories this weekend.

The victory marked the Pirates’ third straight since losing to Batesville for their first loss of the season.

Greensburg improved to 14-1 on the season and 7-1 in the Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference.

The Pirates jumped out to a 13-0 lead, and 18-5 after the first eight minutes. The hosts went into halftime leading 33-13, then 49-21 after three quarters.

Head coach Stacy Meyer said he was pleased with his team’s effort on both sides of the ball.

“I think we got a great start to the game and kept building on it with defense and rebounding,” he said. “We got guys open and got easier-looking shots.”

Junior Bryant McIntosh led Greensburg with 17 points, including 12 in the first half. Junior Sean Sellers scored 15, including a pair of 3-pointers and 7-for-9 at the foul line.
