Trafalgar — The South Decatur varsity softball team ended the season against Indian Creek Friday on the road. The Lady Cougars suffered a 16-0 loss to the conference rival Braves in no-hit fashion.

Creek tallied 13 hits, but South prolonged the Braves’ turns at the plate with 10 errors.

Head coach Lisa Huff pointed out her team’s inability to produce base hits despite making consistent contact.

“We’ve been hitting the ball, we just couldn’t get anything to go through,” she said.

Huff said her team is ready to turn the page to next week’s sectional tournament.

“Now we focus on sectional,” she said. “We’re 0-0 right now.”

South will compete in the Rising Sun Sectional 60. The Lady Cougars play Jac-Cen-Del Tuesday, May 21 after the 5 p.m. first game.
