This listing is intended for use by those groups providing a community service in Decatur County that is open to all. Due to the increase in submissions, items will occasionally be removed so the calendar may be conformed to fit space limitations. To submit items e-mail them to jim.cummings@greensburgdailynews.com. Monday

The Alzheimer’s Association offers support groups for caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias. Participants in support groups receive emotional support, practical assistance in coping with the issues they face, and the latest information about research. All meetings are confidential and free of charge. The caregiver support group meetings in Greensburg are held on the 2nd Monday of every month at 4:00 p.m. at Decatur County Memorial Hospital, 720 North Lincoln Street, in their classroom. To receive additional information on this support group, please call Debbie Robbins at 812-633-7503 (work), 812-663-5453 (home) or the Alzheimer’s Association at 1-800-272-3900.

Nominations for the Eagles 927 Auxilary will be conducted on April 23 at 7 p.m. Auxilary members are welcome to come and put in your input or can call Faye Zeigler at 812-663-5630.

The Mental Health Support Group meets at 7 p.m. the last Monday of each month in the conference room of the Decatur County Memorial Hospital. They invite everyone suffering from mental illness or caring for a family member with mental illness to attend. All meetings are held strictly confidential. Tuesday

The Annual Meeting of the Decatur County Lifeline Systems, Inc. will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2007 in the OB Classroom at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital at 7:00 p.m.

New Point Community Senior Club meets every fourth Tuesday at the New Point Community Senior Center at 6 p.m.
