Saturday

Celebrating the Fourth of July at Lake Santee on Saturday, July 7th . Serving BBQ, Pulled Pork, smoked or regular pork chops, brats and kraut, with choice baked beans, slaw, chips, drinks and homemade desserts. Kids hot dog meal available. Kiwanis Serving 10:30am-2pm, Rain or Shine.Carryout available. Fireworks after dusk. All proceeds will support community activities and scholarships!

The Greensburg Community High School Class 1977 will hold its 30 year class reunion on Saturday, July 28. If you have not received your invitation or know someone who has not received theirs please call Jill Wilson at 663-4426. Addresses are needed for: Debbie (Lee) Woedel , Brett Stolpe, David Hawkins, Steve Redelman, Bonnie (Tichenor) Johnson, Christine (Ogden) Jones, Pam (Pierson) Bladow.

Sunday

The 4-H Fair Parade will be held on July 15 at 5 p.m. and the theme is “Fiesta of the Olympics”. Entries are now being accepted at the Decatur County Extension Office. All entries must be received at the Extension office before 8:00 a.m. on July 9. Any entries received after this date may be permitted to participate but will not be judged and will be placed at the end of the parade. Any questions regarding the parade may be directed to Lora Reed Williams at 812-663-8373.

The Decatur County Family YMCA is offering a “Month of Sundays” during the entire month of July. A family can enjoy the entire facility for free on any July Sunday simply by bringing in their church bulletin from that morning. Present your bulletin to the front desk staff and start to enjoy a day of quality family time together at the YMCA. You may contact Mary Miers at 663-YMCA (663-9622) for more details.
