The Alzheimer’s Association offers support groups for caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias. Participants in support groups receive emotional support, practical assistance in coping with the issues they face, and the latest information about research. All meetings are confidential and free of charge. The caregiver support group meetings in Greensburg are held on the second Monday of every month at 4 p.m. at the Greensburg Library, 1110 East Main Street. The Mental Health Support Group meets at 7 p.m. the last Monday of each month in the conference room of the Decatur County Memorial Hospital. They invite everyone suffering from mental illness or caring for a family member with mental illness to attend. All meetings are held strictly confidential. North Decatur Elementary School will host their Open House on the first day of school, August 12 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. We hope students and their parents will be able to come and meet their teacher for this coming school year.

New Point Community Senior Club meets every fourth Tuesday at the New Point Community Senior Center at 6 p.m.

The Greensburg Kiwanis Club meets the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:15 p.m. at Trackside Cafe. Guests are always welcome.

Lap sit classes will be held at the Greensburg Public Library on Tuesday mornings from 9:10-9:30 a.m. Lap sit is open to parents and their baby 6-17 months of age.
