Albin J. Wenning, 92 of Greensburg, Indiana passed away on July 26, 2008 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Greensburg.

He was born on October 27, 1915 in Decatur County, Indiana, he was the son of Thomas and Eva M. (Mauer) Wenning.

He was a Clarksburg High School graduate and a member of the St. Maurice Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was the manager of maintenance for Lake Central Airlines in Indianapolis for several years. He later was a self-employed mechanic. He became a partner in opening the Massey-Ferguson dealership in Greensburg until he retired. He then farmed and was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. He was a WWII Veteran serving in the Air Force.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Clarence Wenning, Edward T. Wenning and Norbert Wenning and three sisters, Frieda Crisalli, Mary Ann Byers and Dorothea M. Wenning.

Visitation will be from 3 - 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with a rosary service at 5 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg with Msgr. Harold Knueven officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Maurice Cemetery in St. Maurice, Indiana.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
