Name: Betsy Cleland
Parents: Matthew and Mary Cleland and Brenda Roe
Education: North Decatur High School junior and graduating class of 2008
Activities: FCCLA, FFA and cheerleading. Cleland was also involved in SADD, student council and volleyball. She has also visited the Nursing Homes with North Decatur FFA and she is also a StarStepper at Dixon Dance Studio where she cheers for Flip City All-Star cheerleading squad. She is also in the Greensburg Girls Choir and Musicals Bowl for kid’s sake.
Honors and Awards: In FFA, she earned the Greenhand Degree and was Secretary. She was honored as Ag Student of the week. In June she is going to the State FFA convention representing North Decatur to compete for state talent winner. Cleland won the talent contest for District 12 in FFA. She was crowned Homecoming Princess at Greensburg High School her freshman year. Cleland has won Miss Personality her first year of dance and received Honorable Mention this year. In StarSteppers, she was a part of the high achievements at competitions. She was an All-American Cheerleader Nominee her freshman year, an All-American Cheerleader sophomore year and listed in Who’s Who among American High School Students Sports Addition.
Interests and Hobbies: Cheerleading, dance gymnastics, volleyball, medical sciences and fashion. Her hobbies include being with friends and family, staying active with singing, dancing cheering and helping young children. She also likes to stay involved with school clubs and just having fun.
Future Plans: Cleland plans to graduate High School with Academic Honors and her CNA license from Vocational School. She plans to attend Indiana University and cheer for IU. She plans to study Pediatrics or study to be a Vet.
