Nov. 21: Migraine Support Group, 7 p.m. Decatur County Memorial Hospital This support group is developed for migraine sufferers and caregivers. This is a great opportunity to share and receive information about migraines with people who understand. Decatur County Tourism has a Town Hall Meeting at 8 a.m. in the Greensburg Learning Center. Ellen Harper, Director of the Indiana Main Street, will be speaking about the Main Street Program. Ellen is the former Tourism Director for Vincennes/Knox County.

Blood Pressure/Blood Sugar Screening; Crown Pointe; 8:30 a.m. Decatur County Memorial Hospital Home Health Care Nurses offer free Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar Screenings. New Point Kiwanis meet the first and third Tuesdays each month, 6:15 p.m. in the basement of New Point Christian Church.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 5584 and the Auxiliary meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. The group meets in the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall and an adjoining classroom.

Advocates for Children will be conducting an Orientation Session    for adults desiring to learn about becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA.) volunteer for abused and neglected children.  Bring your sack lunch and at noon in the Chamber of Commerce Office, 1201 Lincoln, Greensburg. Immunization Clinic at Decatur County Memorial Hospital, 3-7 p.m. Immunization Clinic is open Wednesdays only. We will accept the last patient at 6:45 p.m. in order to close promptly at 7 p.m. The Immunization Clinic is located in the Outpatient Clinic on the first floor by the Admitting/Registration area. The Immunization Clinic is available to all those in Decatur County and the surrounding counties that are in need of immunizations. Representative Cleo Duncan of Greensburg will have a Senior Forum, 9 a.m., in the Greensburg Adult Center, 905 E. Main, in an effort to assist individuals with questions about their healthcare needs and medical benefits.

The Greensburg Junior High School seventh and eighth Grade Choral Music Department will present the Disney’s musical “Aladdin” today and Friday.  The performances will be held in the auditorium at 7 p.m. Advanced tickets may be purchased from the Jr. High School office during the week or at the ticket booth prior to each night’s performance.  Ticket prices are $3 adults; $2 students. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

Nov. 24: The United Methodist Church will host a community Thanksgiving dinner at noon. Carryout is available and the event is open to community members in need of fellowship and a hearty meal.

The Greensburg Optimist Club meets every Thursday at 6:30 a.m. in Sunnyside Cafe.

Ongoing



The Decatur County Community Schools Board of School Trustees has been involved in a process to determine the course of School Corporation programming over the next several years. The members of the Board are now at a point where they need to make major decisions regarding the future of our schools.

In that vein, there will be four meetings conducted during the month of November to explain to the public the options being considered by the Board.The schedule of meetings is as follows:

•Wednesday – South Decatur Elementary 9302 S. CR 420 W.

•Thursday – North Decatur Jr/Sr High School 172 North Indiana 3.

All meetings will begin at 7 p.m. and will be the same in content and format. Although not taking an active part in the meetings, members of the Board of School Trustees will be in attendance to listen to the presentations and any questions that might be submitted by those attending.
