The Columbus Area Arts Council continues their JCB NeighborFEST season with the Parrots of the Caribbean from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Aug. 2, on Washington Street between 3rd and 4th Streets. The concert is free.
The Parrots of the Caribbean are known internationally as one of the finest Jimmy Buffett Tribute Acts in the country. They've performed for audiences all over the U.S. and Canada for over a decade. In April 2012, they were honored to Entertain U.S. Troops in Okinawa, Japan.
Between their outstanding renditions of Buffett's biggest hits, this high energy band of five musicians performs a blend of Zydeco, Rock, and Country. Each year they perform for events such as ÔCheeseburger in Caseville,' where they play to 10,000 Parrot Heads strong, and have been invited back for the last seven years. Their showmanship, music, costumes and antics on stage will have the audience laughing, singing and dancing the Conga. And, they encourage everyone to dress in "island apparel."
Food and beverages, including beer and wine, will be available for purchase at the concert. Bring your lawn chairs, your family and friends, and find a good spot to listen to another JCB NeighborFEST concert.
