James Malcolm "Jim" Rueff, 57, of Taylorsville, passed away at 7:15 p.m. July 11, 2006, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient facility. He was born in Johnson County on July 10, 1949, and was the son of Charles L. and Jean Halliday Rueff. He married Donna Jean Duncan on July 31, 1971.

He is survived by his Wife, Donna Jean Duncan; Sons, Randall Matthew Rueff of Taylorsville and Brent Andrew Rueff of Indianapolis; a Brother, Dr. Larry (Gail) Rueff of Greensburg and Nieces, Laura and Erin Rueff, both of Greensburg.

He lived his early life on a farm in Johnson County. He was a member of the last graduating class of Nineveh High School, he continued his studies at Ball State University and IUPUI and was a tool and die maker at ArvinMeritor in Franklin for 34 years before his retirement.

He was an active member of East Columbus Christian Church where he had served as elder, deacon and trustee and had been on the Missions Committee, taught junior church and helped with vacation Bible school. He also was a teacher, parent and counselor at Hilltop Christian Camp, was former athletic director and girls basketball coach at East Columbus Christian School, and tutored students at Taylorsville Elementary School. He was a volunteer firefighter for 15 years and an EMT with German Township Fire Department, was an active volunteer at Club 50, and a member of Bartholomew County Senior Center.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Revs. Ron Bridgewater and David Armstrong officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8:30 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
