GREENSBURG – The Decatur County Community Foundation will give away two $1,000 grants Christmas Day if their Facebook page reaches 2,000 likes before then.

In an effort to thank community members for liking the HCCF’s page and staying up to date with all its happenings, DCCF Executive Director Tami Wenning decided to hold a special grant drawing.

“We decided that we wanted to try and reward the people who took the time to like our page,” Wenning said. “In doing so, we also have to keep in mind that we need to use our money to further good things in our community.”

Anyone who received money from the DCCF in 2018, through a grant or scholarship, is eligible to apply.

Previous recipients who didn’t receive an application are encouraged to email info@DCCFound.org.

“If you continue to get your friends and family to like our Facebook page, the more likes we get, the more money we’re going to give out in a special drawing to be held Christmas Day,” Wenning said.

For each like the DCCF page receives (up to 2,000), an additional dollar will be added to the drawing. Up to $1,000 will be given to a local non-profit group and to a deserving scholar. Wenning said the drawing will be posted live to the Facebook page.

Each day in December, a post is made to the page showing the many ways DCCF dollars are used in the community. The public is invited to visit the page and see exactly how DCCF supports Decatur County.
