5 to 7 p.m. – St. Louis Catholic School, 17 E. St. Louis Place, Batesville, is hosting a “New Kid On The Block” block party for all preschoolers. Family event includes a variety of family-friendly, kid-centered activities and info about kindergarten.

8 to 11 a.m. – Clean Green Rush Tox-Away collection for Rush County residents only at the Smiley Avenue Disposal Center in Rushville.

8:30 a.m. – Greensburg Fire Department is hosting a 20th Year Remembrance Ceremony to mark the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks against multiple US targets. The event is taking place at the GFD firehouse, 528 N. Ireland Street. The ceremony will be followed by an open house that includes refreshments.
