GREENSBURG — Even though there will be no midway, carnival rides, games, or most of the usual trappings of a county fair this summer in Decatur County, many of the 4-H and open class events and judging will still occur.

A schedule of those events was recently released.

Responsible for most of the organization of what will no doubt will be a most unusual year for 4-H summer competition, Purdue Extension’s Sara Dunlap was positive about the plans.

“It’s actually going very well,” she said. “We’ve had a very cooperative and willing group of volunteers who have spent a great deal of time making sure this all goes well. Everything is set, and now all we have to do is make sure it happens per our plans.”
