Greensburg Mayor Josh Marsh recently presented a proclamation to the Junior Optimist Club at Greensburg High School commemorating their 20th anniversary year as a club. President of the Junior Optimist Club, Cassie Kramer, received the proclamation from Mayor Marsh along with Principal Grant Peters and Junior Optimist sponsor Mike Novak. Mayor Marsh congratulated the Junior Optimist Club members for all they do for the school and community. The mayor also took questions and shared some of his experiences and life’s journey to where he is today. He also gave the students words of encouragement as they move forward with their education in pursuit of their career. Mayor Marsh is an Optimist member and graduate of GCHS. Principal Grant Peters also thanked Mr. Novak and congratulated the club for their continued leadership and involvement with the school, the community, and the Breakfast Optimist Club. Recently, the Junior Optimist Club purchased 20 books for the high school library commemorating their 20th anniversary.
