LONG AWAITED VISIT

LONG AWAITED VISIT

A tent has been erected at Arbor Grove Health Campus and residents there are getting a long-awaited chance to visit with their loved ones, many of whom they haven’t been able to visit with face-to-face since the first of the year. Recently, the Indiana State Department of Health released new guidance for outdoor family visitation. Only communities that meet specific criteria can allow visitations to occur; residents and families are thrilled that Arbor Grove has been cleared to have outdoor visitations. Visitors are screened, asked to sign-in, wear a face mask and adhere to proper social distancing along with other criteria during the visitation. Residents must also wear a mask during the visit and meet additional criteria as well. David Meyer visited with his wife, Roxie Meyer. “We’ve been married for 42 years, and this day is just as exciting as our wedding day. We haven’t ever been apart for this long,” David Meyer said. “It’s a great feeling visiting with my wife. It’s almost been three months since I have seen her face to face. I would like to thank Arbor Grove Village for this opportunity.”
