GREENSBURG - Decatur County Memorial Hospital has received word its proposed purchase of the Medical Multi-Specialty Clinic building will likely become a reality.
The DCMH offer has been accepted by PRAMCO, the current owner of the building, hospital administrators announced Monday.
Decatur County Memorial Hospital will be adding approximately 26,000 square feet of space with the acquisition of the real estate. The space will be used primarily for visiting specialists, appropriate DCMH services and will continue to house the medical practice of Drs. McCullough, Alunday, Mungcal and Fletcher; which includes nurse practitioner Joyce Howell and physician’s assistant Rick Meyers.
“We’re very pleased our hospital will be able to utilize the facility and stabilize the ownership of the building,” DCMH CEO Bill Alloy stated. “As our hospital grows, we have been faced with difficult decisions regarding space for our outpatient specialists and other services. This facility should allow us to meet their needs, as well as those of the hospital’s outpatients, and, of course, the existing physicianss practices."
Alloy said the building would be undergoing some renovations in the near future. Administrators anticipate only minimal inconvenience to patients who utilize the facility.
The sale is expected to be finalized later this month.
