PIPE REPLACEMENT TO CLOSE IND. 229

Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Paul H. Rohe Company plans to close Ind. 229 between Boehringer Street and Shrader Street in downtown Batesville on or after Monday, July 11, to complete a sewer pipe replacement project. The road is expected to be closed for approximately five days while work is occurring. The official detour will follow W. Pearl Street, Mulberry Street, and Mitchell Avenue to Ind. 46. Semi traffic should avoid this detour and use an alternate route. This work is part of a $1.5 million contract that includes patching, milling and paving Ind. 229, south of Ind. 46 in Batesville. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions and stay vigilant of workers and equipment.
