The Greensburg Daily News female co-athletes of the week are Greensburg senior Brianna Parsons and sophomore Ashley Bowling. The runners led Greensburg’s girls team to a fourth-place finish and qualification for the regional tournament Saturday at Greensburg.

Parsons finished third in the South Dearborn sectional cross country tournament Tuesday, while Bowling finished ninth. Parsons set a personal record in leading the Lady Pirates, clocking a 20:47. Bowling also was named to the all sectional cross country team.

For pacing the Pirate runners in the sectional and leading Greensburg to a regional tournament berth with strong individual performances, Brianna Parsons and Ashley Bowling are this week’s Greensburg Daily News female co-athletes of the week.
