Fishers hands Pirates 1st loss
Greensburg’s Dakota Walters tries for a rebound earlier this season. The Pirates suffered a 59-41 loss Tuesday to Fishers, who led 22-20 at halftime. Greensburg coach Stacy Meyer called Fishers (3-2) a very good team and a great test. “In the second half their defensive pressure really started to bother us and wore us down,” he said. “We forced shots and had turnovers that they converted on to open up the lead. It was a great game and a great test for our kids, and it will make us better in the future.” The Pirates (4-1) will play a second straight 4A school Saturday, traveling to Columbus East.
