The North Decatur junior high boys basketball teams split a pair of games with Batesville earlier this week.

The North seventh grade boys topped Batesville 39-20. The Chargers led in every quarter, doubling up the Bulldogs in each period but the fourth.

Andrew Hocker led North with 15 points. Dayne Lecher and Arek Holloway each scored six points, while Luke Badgley added four. Scoring two apiece were Evan Wallpe, Devin Murray, Landon Crites and Donovan Meyer.

Derek Hocker posted five rebounds, while Evan Wallpe added four boards.

The seventh graders improve their record to 4-0.

The eighth grade Charger boys fell to Batesville 55-21.

Eric Moorman led North with seven points and four rebounds.

Brian Williamson scored five, while Lane Geis and Kyle Fogle each added three. Jon Schwartz chipped in two and Seth Gauck added one.

The eighth graders are now 0-4.
