The North Decatur girls volleyball team fell to Edinburgh Monday night in three games, 19-25, 17-25, 26-28.
North is 4-5 on the season and 1-1 in the Mid Hoosier Conference.
The junior varsity team did not play.
"I feel good about many things we did tonight," said North varsity coach Betsy Litmer. "This was our most consistent serving night, and we had a fantastic blocking game against some very good hitters. We struggled mostly with defense to offense transition, and until we learn to move while watching the ball, we'll continue to struggle. As we continue to work on the things we do well, I'm certain we will get stronger with the things we don't."
Litmer said she made adjustments to the lineup during the second and third sets.
"I'm proud of the way my girls handled it," she said. "It was a good decision defensively against Edinburgh, and the girls adjusted well to it. It's important to be versatile because you never know when you're going to need to be, and tonight we needed it. We just didn't finish the third set when we had the opportunity and by then it was too late because we had already dropped sets one and two."
