The Greensburg swimming teams competed in the Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference tournament Saturday at South Dearborn High School.
The Greensburg girls team took second overall to champion Connersville, while the Greensburg boys placed fourth out of six teams.
The girls scored 69 points to Connersville’s 117. Batesville was third with 54, while South Dearborn took fourth with 40. East Central’s 30 points earned fifth and Lawrenceburg’s 17 was sixth.
Connersville’s boys won the championship, scoring 102 points. East Central was second with 93, Batesville took third (64) and Greensburg was fourth with 39. Lawrenceburg was fifth (16), South Dearborn was sixth (12) and Rushville took seventh (4).
No Greensburg swimmers won any individual events. However, sophomore Bri Stagge, junior Molly Oesterling and sophomore Abby Bausback took second place to Connersville in several events.
Nick Oesterling and Brady Niles also scored multiple points for the Pirates.
Relay teams also excelled for Greensburg, placing second or third in most races.
