Visiting Connersville knocked off the Lady Cougars in volleyball action Thursday by the scores of 25-21, 25-10, 25-15.

For South, Kirsten Baltus had one ace, one kill and two blocks.

Elizabeth Mauer served 6-7.

Emily Wilkerson served two aces, set 23-24 and had three kills and three blocks.

Julie French dished out seven assists and added one kill.

Heather Helms chipped in with two kills and two blocks.

Jamie Huff served 4-4 and received 26-35.

Stephanie Kohlman received 30-39.

Megan Johannigman served 7-9 and had four kills.

Bri Palmer hit 5-7, received 7-8 and had two block kills.

In the reserve match, Connersville won in two games 25-20, 25-13.

For the Lady Cougars, Kirsten Elliott passed 8-8, was 4-5 on digs and had three aces. Ashleigh Ewing passed 7-9, served 3-4 and had three kills. Alexis Watts passed 5-5 and added one kill. Emily Nobbe had two aces, three assists and received 9-10.

Amber Knapp tallied one ace, one assist and passed 5-6. Nicole Dougherty passed 5-5 and had one kill. Kelsey Snyder received 7-10 and Palmer received 2-2. Katie Mote and Taylor Nolting both contributed in the back row.
